ART2HIRE represents a Silicon Valley–based B2C startup building innovative mobile solutions for the planet. They seek an Engineering Manager to lead the Operations team, responsible for a large-scale server fleet across multiple providers and countries.

The role is remote, full-time, with CET hours and occasional travel. You will own outcomes, drive on-call processes, alerting, and cost-aware infrastructure decisions in collaboration with R&D and business units.

Qualifications

• 2+ years formally managing an infrastructure or DevOps team (1:1s, performance, priorities)
• 5+ years hands-on engineering in infrastructure, DevOps or SRE
• Strong Linux, networking, and infrastructure-as-code fundamentals
• Experience running infra at scale across data centers and multiple providers
• Startup/scale-up experience with cost-focused thinking and incident handling in fast-paced environments
• Ability to own decisions and drive outcomes with minimal oversight
• Fluent in English, capable of leading meetings and writing for the company

Responsibilities

• Lead the Operations team, set priorities, conduct 1:1s, drive growth and performance
• Oversee 24/7 on-call and incident management with blameless postmortems
• Improve alerting and runbooks to reduce noise and repetitive fixes
• Organize daily/weekly processes and async standups across R&D and Ops
• Shape Operations practices, standards and governance
• Coordinate infrastructure rollouts with mobile and backend teams
• Participate in RFCs and reviews touching infrastructure
• Manage capacity planning and cost across hosting providers
• Stay hands-on during critical incidents or design reviews
• Explore AI tooling to improve workflows across operations and code review
