Job summary

Pragmatike is recruiting an experienced Engineering Manager on a fully remote, consulting basis for a 3-month mission, ASAP start. The role combines engineering leadership with hands-on contribution, balancing technical decisions with business priorities in a fast-moving environment.

You will lead the engineering function, work with product and business stakeholders, and spearhead architectural direction while ensuring scalable, reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in engineering leadership roles (Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering or equivalent).
• Fluent French is mandatory; strong English communication skills required.
• Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex projects in a remote consulting setup.
• Ability to translate product priorities into technical execution with hands-on involvement when needed.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the engineering roadmap aligned with product and business priorities.
• Lead, mentor and support engineers; remove blockers and optimize team performance.
• Make and challenge architectural decisions for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Lead complex projects end-to-end from planning to delivery; ensure alignment with outcomes.
• Collaborate with product, sales, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical objectives.
• Establish and improve development standards, processes, and ways of working across the engineering org.
• Stay technically close to the team and contribute directly when deeper input is needed.
• Evaluate new technologies and opportunities across Cloud, AI, Blockchain and other emerging areas.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and delivery quality as the company scales.
