Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED Group seeks a QA Engineering Manager to build and lead our QA Engineering function. The initial focus will be on The Witcher 4, with future work on Cyberpunk 2 and Sirius, aiming to create shared QA services across the studio.

You will own frameworks, tools and pipelines that help QA and development teams ship stable, testable builds and collaborate closely with Engineering, DevOps and Production to integrate testing into CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in games or software industry in a similar role (Engineering Lead/Manager, Tech Lead/Manager).
• Experience developing or overseeing automated test frameworks, ideally for engine-based projects (Unreal Engine a strong plus).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, build farms, automated deployments and integrating automated tests into development workflows.
• Experience writing scripts or tools (Python, TypeScript, C#) for automation or process improvements.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience, supporting senior technical staff and helping them grow.
• Experience setting up or improving QA Engineering processes for cross-functional or agile teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Engineering, QA, DevOps and Production.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the QA Engineering team, initial focus on The Witcher 4 with cross-project reuse.
• Execute and evolve the QA Engineering strategy to support current needs and cross-project capabilities.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks, tools, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps and Production to integrate testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish and monitor metrics for QA Engineering and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement tooling improvements that enhance testability and observability.
• Manage risks and dependencies in automation, tooling, or infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship and career development for QA Engineers.
• Support planning and resource allocation for QA initiatives.
• Communicate status, impact, and roadmap of QA Engineering to stakeholders across QA, Tech and Production.
