Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Tech QA Lead for the Polaris project, The Witcher 4. You will manage a technical QA team, translating the Polaris QA strategy into actionable plans, and drive high-quality testing across engines, tools, and platforms.

You will collaborate with Production, Development, and QA experts to ensure engine and tools quality, performance, stability, and gameplay integrity while improving QA workflows and reporting. Relocation to Warsaw is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading or managing Tech QA teams.
• 5+ years direct performance management.
• 5+ years experience in game development.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, defect management, test planning and reporting.
• Experience with Unreal Engine and its editor tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Tech QA team while fostering accountability, role clarity, and continuous skill growth.
• Adapt and implement the Polaris QA strategy into practical testing approaches and measurable outcomes.
• Own testing execution and milestone verification to meet technical quality standards.
• Monitor quality metrics, KPIs, and bug trends to identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Partner with development, production, and external QA vendors to coordinate dependencies and alignment.
• Maintain clear, data-informed reporting on quality status and blockers.
