Job summary

SoftServe in Kraków is seeking an IT support specialist to maintain laboratory infrastructure, manage hardware and network equipment, and ensure reliable operation of office and testing environments. You will perform hands‑on IT support, hardware troubleshooting, network administration, and laboratory management.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking Fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Ethernet and Wi‑Fi technologies and related cabling.
• Familiarity with DHCP and DNS, VLAN concepts.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience with system administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of remote administration tools such as SSH and RDP.
• Understanding of user accounts, permissions, and access control.
• Awareness of storage concepts, virtualization, and containers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory and conference room equipment and perform setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Recover and repair malfunctioning hardware used in testing and development environments.
• Administer laboratory servers with resource allocation and monitoring.
• Manage office network infrastructure and ensure stable connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network issues and support switches, access points and devices.
• Service and replace accessories in hot desks and shared spaces.
• Coordinate logistics for receiving, organizing, packing and shipping equipment.
• Collaborate with building management and external stakeholders on infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and assets.
• Support continuous improvement of laboratory operations.
