Job summary
GiGa-Ops Global Solutions in Kraków is seeking an experienced infrastructure engineer to join our data center operations. You will install, test, and maintain DC hardware, fiber and copper cabling, and support L3 troubleshooting.
The role requires hands-on IMAC and break-fix activities, incident analysis, and collaboration with network and server teams. Strong ITIL background and English proficiency are preferred.
Local candidates with a work permit in Poland are welcome.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years in data center infrastructure or DWDM.
- 3+ years in installation and troubleshooting of network hardware.
- BSc in CS or related field; bachelor preferred.
- ITIL experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Test, report, install cables or optics for new circuits; manage physical cabling.
- Support network and server teams with rack and stack and cable runs.
- Label, patch, and asset tag activities; perform onsite installations.
- Follow task instructions and provide reporting via phone, remote tools, or onsite.
- Conduct failure analysis and functional testing; identify failed components.
- Reseat or swap line cards; replace faulty components as needed.
- Make, crimp and test RJ45 copper cables.
