This role is ideal for a communications professional with a strong background in corporate communications and B2B public relations, preferably gained within an IT services company, technology integrator, software business, or consulting organisation. You will bring hands-on experience leading communications across EMEA, ideally complemented by exposure to North America, India, or other APAC markets.
You will own Billennium's global PR agenda, corporate communications, executive positioning, and international employer branding communications. You will also define the strategic direction for Social Media, working closely with the Social Media Specialist responsible for content creation, publishing, community engagement, and performance analysis.
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Marketing, you will collaborate with the Management Board, regional leaders, People & Culture, Sales, GTM, and business and technology experts to build a consistent, credible, and relevant global narrative.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement a global PR and corporate communications strategy tailored to EMEA, North American, and APAC markets while maintaining a consistent global brand narrative.
- Build and manage relationships with international journalists, technology and business media, PR agencies, industry organisations, and other external stakeholders, proactively identifying opportunities to increase Billennium's visibility.
- Lead executive communications and position Management Board members and key experts through interviews, speaking opportunities, media commentary, thought leadership, contributed articles, and executive Social Media presence.
- Shape international employer branding communications in partnership with People & Culture and regional teams, supporting talent attraction and a consistent employer image across markets.
- Define Billennium's Social Media strategy and oversee its execution by the Social Media Specialist, ensuring content quality, message consistency, audience relevance, and alignment with business priorities.
- Coordinate communications for strategic initiatives, partnerships, events, awards, organisational developments, market expansion, and other reputation-relevant topics.
- Lead crisis and sensitive communications by preparing response scenarios, key messages, statements, Q&As, briefing materials, and clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, media relations, or reputation management, including international communications across EMEA.
- Professional experience in B2B technology, IT services, systems integration, consulting, software, or professional services.
- Strong understanding of technology topics such as AI, cloud, data, cybersecurity, managed services, or digital transformation.
- Proven ability to develop and execute communications strategies across multiple markets, cultures, and business environments.
- Strong media relations and executive communications experience, including working with journalists, agencies, Management Board members, and senior leaders.
- Excellent writing and editing skills across press releases, statements, interviews, thought leadership, briefing materials, and executive Social Media content.
- Experience in employer branding, Social Media strategy, communications analytics, and coordinating specialists or external partners.
- Excellent English, at least C1 level, combined with sound business judgement, diplomacy, and the ability to manage sensitive communications in a fast-paced international environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting brand repositioning, international growth, or entry into new markets.
- An established network among international technology, business, or industry media.
- Experience in crisis communications, issues management, or reputation risk management.
- Proficiency in an additional European language or another language relevant to Billennium's international markets, with German being particularly valuable.
