Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to act as Technology Lead for a client-facing investor platform. You will shepherd microservices, APIs, and data models while guiding modernization and cloud-native adoption.

Hybrid work in Poland with part-office presence 3 days per week in Krakow or Gdansk. You will lead technical decisions, collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams, and drive architecture governance across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 8+ years designing and developing microservices, REST APIs, and front-end apps.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot for backend microservices.
• Experience with AWS cloud-native services and serverless patterns.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology leadership for full-stack backend development on microservices and APIs.
• Guide legacy modernization and cloud-native architecture adoption.
• Collaborate with architects, CTO organization, and cross-functional teams.
• Own design reviews, data models, API contracts, and code quality.
• Support planning, estimation, and dependency identification.
