EPAM Systems, Inc. in Poland is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join a hybrid team with 3 days in the Kraków, Wrocław, or Gdańsk offices and remote work the rest of the week. You will contribute to real-world Java projects, write clean code, and participate in Agile ceremonies.

You will apply Java fundamentals, REST APIs, SQL, and JUnit while growing under senior engineers. This role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to learn in AI, cloud, and platform modernization

Qualifications

• 9–12 months of production software development experience.
• Strong foundation in Java and modern language features.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with JUnit and unit testing principles.
• Hands-on Git experience and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot for Java-based apps.
• Understanding of REST concepts and HTTP methods.
• Knowledge of CI/CD fundamentals and automated pipelines.
• English proficiency with B2+ communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software components in Java under guidance.
• Write clean, testable code following team standards.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs as part of apps.
• Write unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold quality.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business analysts in Agile.
• Use Git and shared repositories for version control.
• Investigate and fix bugs reported during testing or production.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, planning, retrospectives.
• Continuously learn new technologies to grow with the team.
