Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Python Engineer skilled in cloud technologies to support a strategic initiative for a major client. You will build, refine, and deploy secure, scalable solutions using Python and cloud platforms, working with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation.

The role operates on a hybrid model with three in-office days per week at Kraków or Gdańsk, Poland. You will design RESTful APIs, develop data pipelines, and implement CI/CD pipelines while mentoring junior

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Python development experience with frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Professional experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
• Proficiency with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless frameworks.
• Ability to design RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL options (MongoDB/DynamoDB).
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices, Agile, Git, and unit testing.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python software across web apps, APIs, data pipelines, AI/ML models, and automation tools.
• Architect and manage cloud-based systems on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Build scalable microservices and serverless applications.
• Enhance data pipelines using Python and cloud services like Lambda/Functions.
• Improve reliability with testing and monitoring and implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine features and requirements.
• Guide junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain quality.
