Job summary

Hunter International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep experience in IT projects and business process modelling. You will elicit requirements, write user stories, and collaborate with product owners to define software needs across the lifecycle.

The role requires 8+ years in IT, 5+ years in similar roles, and multiple certifications such as CBAP and UML/BPM certs. Proficiency with Sparx EA, Aris Architect, and SharePoint is highly valued.

Job description

• Minimum English language skills (CEFR): C1;
• Minimum IT relevant professional experience: 8 years;
• Minimum project experience relevant to the profile or at a similar position: 5 years;
• At least 2 certifications among
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent;
  • Certified UML Professional certificate at Foundation Level or BPM 2 Fundamental Level or equivalent;
  • other internationally recognized equivalent certifications accepted by the Contracting Authority;
• Has gone at least one time through the complete lifecycle of a software solution;
• Knowledge of business process modelling using BPMN notation;
• Knowledge of requirements and user stories elicitation and analysis;
• Knowledge of analysis and modelling notations such as UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model, etc.);
• Proficiency in modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect, or similar;
• Excellent analytical and communication skills;
• Ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Mastery of SharePoint and SharePoint platform-specific tools;
• Experience in gathering, analysing, and prioritising business needs, requirements, and user stories;

Duties/role:

• Modelling value chains/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities, and data;
• Eliciting and analysing business needs, requirements, and user stories;
• Supporting business experts and product owners during the definition of requirements and software development;
• Maintaining and tracking requirements/user stories throughout the systems lifecycle;
• Translating business, user, and technical needs into business requirements specifications;
• Mapping business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features;
• Analysing available systems;
• Supporting the identification of options for potential solutions;
• Supporting the preparation of business cases and feasibility studies;
• Contributing to systems design, testing, quality assurance, and change management;
• Designing, validating, and testing business processes to achieve business process excellence;
• Taking a holistic approach to planning and managing programmes for the continuous improvement of business processes;
• Coaching Frontex staff on upcoming changes and ensuring that plans are in place to develop new skills and implement process changes;
• Collaborating with owners of end-to-end processes to continuously seek process improvements;
• Identifying opportunities for business process improvement leading to enhanced customer service, reduced costs, or increased revenue through effectiveness and efficiency gains;
• Communicating project objectives, business cases, requirements, and scope to all stakeholders to enable rapid responses to business needs;
• Quantitatively analysing business processes and performing cost-benefit and what-if analyses;
• Planning organisational change processes;
• Implementing performance monitoring systems for business processes;
• Supporting business users in developing strategic and tactical plans (e.g. sector strategies, implementation plans, etc.);
