GoLean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant to support a busy chiropractic clinic remotely. The role emphasizes proactive, detail-oriented work, ownership, and strong English communication, with a focus on reducing admin and billing tasks for the provider.

The position offers 30 hours per week, remote work, and a starting rate of $6 per hour, with performance-based increases after 6 months, requiring Mac OS usage and independent work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accurately.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing and follow-up.
• Review EOBs and clear backlogs while ensuring documentation correctness.
• Resolve outstanding patient balances and coordinate next steps.
• Support claims processing for Cigna and VA as needed.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and check payments when required.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completeness and compliance.
• Track missed/cancelled appointments and identify billing trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, appointments, backlogs, and metrics with insights.
