Job summary

iGate Technologies Pakistan is seeking an IT Support Officer to help maintain the IT infrastructure across our production units in Sialkot. You will learn under seniors while ensuring network uptime, troubleshooting hardware and software, and supporting production floor systems.

This role suits a recent graduate with basic IT knowledge who is eager to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. On-site with supervision, you will gain practical experience across Windows/Linux, AD, and ERP modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required: BCS, BS CS or equivalent accepted.
• 0–1 year experience welcome (internships or fresh grads)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WiFi and basic firewall concepts
• Basic hardware, software, and printer troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of ERP modules (inventory, production)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support IT infrastructure on production floor networks
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on servers and terminals
• Assist in managing Active Directory users and permissions
• Review firewall logs and assist in backup/recovery procedures
• Provide ERP client support on production floor and coordinate with ERP vendors

Job description

We are looking for a IT Support Officer to assist in maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure of our production units in Sialkot. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with basic IT knowledge who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work under the guidance of senior team members to ensure network uptime, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and support production floor systems.

Key Responsibilities

Network & Infrastructure Support

• Assist in monitoring firewalls, WiFi access points, LAN, and WAN connectivity
• Help maintain 99.9% uptime on production floor networks under supervision
• Support basic VLAN, subnetting, and VPN configurations
• Report ISP link issues and assist in failover testing

Systems Administration Support

• Perform routine checks on Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP) and Linux servers
• Troubleshoot basic hardware/software issues on production terminals, barcode printers, and floor PCs
• Assist in managing Active Directory users and permissions

Security & Compliance Support

• Review basic firewall logs and report anomalies
• Help implement backup and recovery procedures for production data

ERP Support (Preferred)

• Assist in troubleshooting ERP client issues on the production floor
• Coordinate with senior staff and ERP vendors for issue resolution

Production Floor Support

• Respond to basic IT tickets (printers, scanners, machine connectivity)
• Maintain IT asset inventory (switches, routers, access points, printers)

Requirements

• BCS (Bachelor of Computer Science) - mandatory (BSc CS, BS IT also accepted)
• 0-1 year (internships or fresh graduates welcome)
• Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WiFi, basic firewall concepts
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP) and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)
• Basic hardware, software, and printer troubleshooting skills
• Basic understanding of ERP modules (inventory, production)
• Willingness to learn, teamwork, communication, ability to work under supervision

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory)

• CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+)
