Job summary

IGATE in Sialkot is seeking an IT Support Officer to assist in maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure of our production units. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with basic IT knowledge who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work under the guidance of senior team members to ensure network uptime, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and support production floor systems.

Qualifications

• BSc CS or BS IT degree is mandatory.
• 0–1 year experience; internships or fresh graduates welcome.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WiFi, and basic firewall concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP) and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS).
• Basic hardware, software and printer troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of ERP modules (inventory, production).
• Willingness to learn, teamwork, communication, ability to work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Network & Infrastructure: monitor firewalls, WiFi APs, LAN/WAN connectivity and support 99.9% uptime.
• Systems Administration: routine checks on Windows Server and Linux servers; troubleshoot hardware/software on production terminals and floor PCs; manage AD users/permissions.
• Security & Compliance: review firewall logs; assist in backup and recovery procedures.
• ERP Support: troubleshoot ERP client issues on the production floor; coordinate with ERP vendors.
• Production Floor Support: respond to basic IT tickets; maintain IT asset inventory.
