Job summary

CTBC Bank (Philippines) Corp. in Taytay, Rizal is seeking a Teller to perform over-the-counter transactions and promote bank products. The role requires handling deposits and cash with accuracy while observing joint custody procedures.

The teller will resolve client inquiries, process balance checks, passbook updates, and ensure timely, courteous service while escalating complex issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs Over the Counter function and processes transactions per bank policies.
• Accepts cash, checks, deposits, payments and endorsements.
• Counts bundles and validates cash transfer slips; ensures joint custody of cash.
• Be knowledgeable and promote all bank products.
• Delivers service in a timely, competent and efficient manner.
• Informs clients of discrepancies found on the transaction being handled.
• Handles customer problems and queries, escalating to the Service Officer when needed.
• Entertains client requests such as balance inquiries, passbook updates and statement entries.
• Makes cash requisitions based on anticipated daily cash needs and coordinates end-of-day transfers; maintains joint custody.
• Verifies cash box contents to ensure accuracy and maintains joint custody.

Job description

• Performs Over the Counter function and process transactions in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures.
• Accepts cash/checks/other deposit, various payments and stamps applicable bank endorsement.
• Counts bundles/bills received and validated supporting Cash transfer slips. Validates every cash requisition/turnover to/ from vault/ teller. Ensure joint custody is observed at all times.
• Be knowledgeable and promote all bank products.
• Delivers service in a timely, competent and efficient manner.
• Informs client of any discrepancies found on the transaction being handled.
• Handles customer problems and queries either through direct personal action or referral to the proper units. Elevates to the Service Officer difficult problems and queries.
• Entertains client’s request such as queries on account balances, passbook updates, statement entries and others.
• Make cash requisitions based on anticipated cash requirements for the day and transfer the same at the end of the day or as soon as there is excess of cash vs. limit. Ensure joint custody is observed at all times.
• Verifies picos box contents to ensure accuracy of cash on hand. Ensure joint custody is observed at all times.
