Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health Global Business Services – Manila is hiring a Senior Workforce Scheduling Specialist to lead advanced scheduling, timekeeping and staffing coordination that ensure clinical coverage and operational efficiency across healthcare departments.

The role acts as a subject matter expert for scheduling processes, supports onboarding and coaching of the team, and collaborates with U.S.-based leaders to optimize staffing and timecard accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Data Management or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience using workforce management, staffing or scheduling software.
• Experience managing complex workforce schedules and staffing requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for workforce scheduling and timekeeping processes.
• Support onboarding, coaching and development of scheduling team members.
• Resolve complex scheduling, workforce management and system-related issues.
• Partner with scheduling leadership and department leaders to support staffing decisions and workforce planning.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials and process documentation.
• Review schedules within workforce management systems to ensure compliance with policies and staffing requirements.
• Support complex and high-priority scheduling requests across assigned departments.
• Collaborate with department managers to build accurate daily, weekly and shift schedules based on staffing forecasts.
• Review schedule requests including paid time off, shift preferences and changes per guidelines.
• Balance and publish schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Assign specialty roles based on department requirements and skill mix standards.
• Monitor staffing vacancies and support proactive shift posting strategies.
• Maintain schedule accuracy within WFM systems based on census, acuity and budget considerations.
• Prepare and distribute staffing, scheduling and workforce management reports.
• Review employee timecards for discrepancies and payroll compliance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with training and adoption of scheduling technology.
