Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health Global Business Services – Manila is seeking a Centralized Scheduling Specialist to support schedule development and optimization for designated departments. You will collaborate with department managers to forecast staffing needs, manage self-scheduling, and ensure schedules provide appropriate coverage and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, data management, or a related field is required.
• 1+ years of experience with staffing, workforce and scheduling software.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• UKG certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates and edits schedules for ROC-supported departments in the electronic scheduling system per hospital policies.
• Collaborate with department managers to prepare accurate daily, weekly, and shift schedules.
• Review, approve, or deny schedule requests (PTO, changes, preferences) per guidelines.
• Balance and publish schedules after self-scheduling periods for coverage and efficiency.
• Assigns specialty roles based on staffing guidelines and skill-mix standards.
• Determine vacancy rates by role; post incentive shifts to address gaps.
• Maintain department schedules in electronic staffing system for daily coverage.
• Prepare staffing and scheduling reports for leadership.
