Link Business Process Inc. is seeking a Sales and Project Engineer to develop hydroseeding opportunities, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and manage projects from site assessment to completion.
The role requires coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, and field personnel to design, price, and safely execute projects according to client requirements.
Bachelor's degree in civil or related engineering and willingness to travel are preferred.
The Sales and Project Engineer is responsible for developing sales opportunities, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and managing hydroseeding projects from initial site assessment through project completion. The position combines technical engineering knowledge, sales development, project coordination, and client relationship management. The role requires regular coordination with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure that hydroseeding projects are properly designed, competitively priced, safely executed, and completed according to project specifications and client requirements.
Sales and Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities for hydroseeding, erosion control, slope stabilization, revegetation, and related services.
Conduct client visits, site inspections, and technical presentations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with praperty developers, contractors, landscape
contractors, government agencies, consultants, and other potential clients.
Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate hydroseeding systems and solutions.
Prepare quotations, technical proposals, project estimates, and sales presentations.
Follow up on submitted quotations and actively pursue project opportunities.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and potential projects.
Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to company business-development strategies.
Technical and Engineering Responsibilities
Conduct site assessments to determine soil, slope, drainage, vegetation, accessibility, and erosion-control requirements.
Develop appropriate hydroseeding specifications, seed mixes, mulch applications, tackifiers, fertilizers, and other materials based on project conditions.
Review project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and other technical documents.
Assist in developing method statements, work programs, material requirements, and technical
submittals.
Provide technical recommendations to clients and project teams.
Poordinate with consultants and contractors regarding technical requirements and project specifications.
Assist in resolving technical issues encountered during project implementation.
Project Management
Coordinate hydroseeding projects from award through completion.
Prepare project schedules and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and site requirements.
Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, operators, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and compliance with approved specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections and document project conditions and progress.
Ensure proper preparation of surfaces prior to hydroseeding application.
Monitor hydroseeding application, coverage, material usage, and establishment of vegetation.
Coordinate testing, inspections, punch-list activities, and project turnover.
Prepare progress reports, accomplishment reports, and other required project documentation.
Coordinate billing requirements, measurements, variation orders, and completion documentation.
Estimating and Cost Control
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for hydroseeding projects.
Calculate requirements for seeds, fertilizers, mulch, tackifiers, water, equipment, labor, and other project resources.
Prepare competitive and profitable project quotations.
Monitor actual project costs against estimates.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce unnecessary costs.
Assist in evaluating variations and additional works.
Client and Project Coordination
Serve as a primary technical and commercial contact for assigned clients and projects.
Attend project meetings and provide updates on project status.
Respond promptly to technical and commercial inquiries.
Maintain professional relationships with clients throughout and after project completion.
Address client concerns and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.
Safety and Quality
Ensure hydroseeding activities are performed in accordance with company safety policies and applicable site safety requirements.
Promote proper use and maintenance of hydroseeding equipment and personal protective equipment.
Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with approved specifications and methods.
Report safety, quality, environmental, or operational issues to management.
Support continuous improvement of the company's hydroseeding methods and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field
Experience in sales, construction, landscaping, erosion control, environmental services, or project management is an advantage.
Knowledge of hydroseeding, landscaping, soil stabilization, erosion control, or revegetation is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, quantity take-offs, and project costing.
Willingness to conduct field/site visits and travel to project locations.
Valid driver's license is an advantage.
