Responsibilities
The Business Development Executive reports to the Business Development Head. Primary responsibilities include achieving sales targets; building, maintaining, and managing existing accounts; identifying and acquiring new accounts; contract negotiation and implementation; performance evaluation and product update. Participates in the establishment of strategies and annual directions to ensure alignment to the organization’s vision and mission. This position interfaces with internal customers (Operations and Accounting Departments) in the fulfillment of contracts.
The position holder shall undertake the following functions:
Responsible for meeting sales targets through effective planning, budgeting and execution of strategies on the desired market segment.
Leading the charge on market research plans to identify new opportunities.
Responsible for the acquisition of new accounts.
Drive the overall value proposition on all opportunities by using selling skills and strong storytelling during sales cycle.
Must be able to demonstrate success in capturing new sales opportunities and managing customer relationships for long term and repeat business.
Develops and maintains professional relationships with potential and existing corporate accounts, principals, and their representatives on business issues, especially in relation to the identification of customer’s requirement to establish the company’s tangible offers that adds value as well as enhances its competitive advantage; sends periodic communications to customers, accreditations, and other announcements.
Responsible for coordinating and monitoring information in relation to the corporate industry that may include government regulations, politics, environment, socio-cultural and technological updates, customer relations, competitor activities and customers’ needs and utilizes these accordingly in the formulation of sales and marketing strategy.
Utilize CRM to record necessary information of the clients, the progress of the account/s, the sales call and telemarketing activities executed to identify customer’s needs and opportunities and prioritize them accordingly. Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
Attend all required trainings, industry events and meetings as required by the Company.
Coordinates with the administrative needs of the department, such as leave approvals, requests for supplies, etc.
Performs work within the standards of company’s Quality Management System.
Perform all other appropriate duties and tasks deemed necessary by the Business Development Head.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree holder
Overall airline and travel agency knowledge, use of GDS and sales experience is an advantage.
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Must possess strong skills in written and verbal communications, negotiations, time management, organizational planning, and presentation.
Excellent interpersonal skills and business decision-making skills are required.
Must have strong orientation towards sales and understand how to create and maintain profitable business relationships with assigned accounts.
Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision and work will in a team environment.
Must be willing to work additional hours and/or days as needed for sales function.
Must be proficient in MS Office application (word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other automation tools being used by the company.
