About the role

The RT Supervisor ensures machines are operating and are in optimal condition. This position supervises RT Therapist, RT Helper, and RT Technician roles within the RT Department.

Key responsibilities

• Properly hook ventilators to patients
• Enforce safety rules and adherence to physicians orders
• Prepare endorsement sheet for the next shift
• Report defective equipment through service reports
• Prepare monthly census
• Calibrate machines through SST/EST
• Know, abide, and adhere to all company policies
• Assess own performance for mid year and year end
• Initiate accomplishment of individual development plan
• Manage, motivate, and lead a team of respiratory therapists

About you

• Bachelor's degree holder of Respiratory Therapist
• Must be Licensed Respiratory Therapist
• At least 2 years of strong experience in coordination and communication preferred
• In-depth knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, techniques and equipment
• Awareness of hospital and healthcare system operations, including patient safety and quality care protocols
• Knowledge of personnel management, including staff supervision, scheduling, and conflict resolution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills to make quick decisions in fast-paced clinical situations
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
• Adaptable to changing environments
