Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (PRC license preferred, if applicable).
• Certification such as RRT or CRT is an advantage.
• Knowledge of respiratory care procedures, equipment, and protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory status and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator support.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain respiratory equipment including ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen delivery systems.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and pulmonary function tests.
• Assist in emergency situations, including CPR and airway management.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and proper use of equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Ensure accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses in medical records.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards at all times.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.
