Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Passed the Philippine Respiratory Therapy Licensure Examination administered by the PRC.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license.
• Strong knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology, and respiratory care procedures.
• Good communication, critical thinking, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

Position: Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

A Respiratory Therapist (RT) is a licensed healthcare professional who assesses, treats, and cares for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. They work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and home-care settings. Assess patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. Administer oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications. Perform pulmonary function tests and diagnostic procedures. Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators for critically ill patients. Assist in emergency procedures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis. Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management. Maintain respiratory therapy equipment and ensure proper infection control. Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution. Passed the Philippine Respiratory Therapy Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission. Valid Respiratory Therapist license. Strong knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology, and respiratory care procedures. Good communication, critical thinking, and patient-care skills.
