Healthserv Los Banos Medical Center is seeking a Chief Respiratory Therapist responsible for the overall management, supervision, and clinical oversight of the Respiratory Therapy Department in a hospital setting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or licensed as required by regulations.
• Preferably with 3–5 years of clinical experience with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience in hospital-based respiratory care, with exposure to critical care and emergency settings.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures, ventilator management, and patient assessment.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department.
• Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Prepare staff schedules, assignments, and duty rosters.
• Monitor staffing requirements and recommend additional personnel when necessary.
• Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
• Monitor departmental productivity and operational performance.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to respiratory therapists and other department personnel.
• Ensure proper assessment, treatment, monitoring, and documentation of patients requiring respiratory care.
• Review and monitor the implementation of respiratory care protocols.
• Assist in managing critical and complex respiratory cases when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention and patient safety standards.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
• Prepare and submit regular departmental reports to management.
• Assist in developing the department's annual budget and monitor expenses.
• Coordinate procurement and inventory of respiratory therapy supplies and equipment.
