Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic remotely. The ideal candidate is sharp, proactive, detail-oriented, emotionally intelligent, and capable of owning clinic workflows with minimal supervision.

This role emphasizes thinking ahead, identifying gaps, and removing administrative and billing tasks from the provider’s plate, with strong English communication and executive presence required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style
• Must be a Mac OS user
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and ensure information accuracy
• Review denied claims, identify denial reasons, and assist with reprocessing
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents (EOB)
• Track outstanding balances and coordinate resolution steps
• Support claims workflows including Cigna and Veterans Affairs claims
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and ensure timely payments
• Monitor SOAP notes for completion and accuracy
• Track missed/canceled appointments and scheduling trends
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog and denials with actionable insights
• Foster clear communication between provider, care team and admin staff
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements to billing and documentation
