Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Triage Specialist to support a HIPAA-driven workflow in a fully remote setting. The role acts as an initial quality-control point, reviewing authorizations and patient details before records move forward.

You will verify signatures, DOB, dates of service, and related documents, cross-check case details, and prepare documentation using Adobe Acrobat. Strong English, high accuracy and independence are essential; EST business hours overlap

• Ability to identify discrepancies and missing information.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Availability to work a schedule that overlaps with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
• Comfortable working with digital documents and document-editing tools.

Responsibilities

• Review HIPAA Authorizations: Verify signatures, patient information, dates of birth, dates of service, and other required details.
• Cross-Check Case Details: Compare authorization information against internal records and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare Documents: Transfer required information into authorization templates using Adobe Acrobat or similar tools.
• Perform Quality Checks: Review completed files for accuracy, completeness, formatting issues, and other potential reasons for rejection.
• Identify and Resolve Defects: Flag missing or invalid information, create clear follow-up tasks, and place cases on hold until corrections are completed.
• Follow Up and Escalate: Monitor pending cases and escalate as needed.
