Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking a detail-oriented Triage Specialist to support a medical records workflow. This remote role reviews HIPAA authorizations, verifies patient and case information, and prepares documentation before cases move forward in the records retrieval process.

The ideal candidate is highly accurate, comfortable reviewing legal and medical documents, and can identify inconsistencies to prevent delays in processing.

Qualifications

• Excellent written English with high attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand legal and medical documents.
• High accuracy when reviewing and comparing information.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and missing information.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Comfortable with digital document editing tools.
• Availability to overlap U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Review HIPAA authorizations: verify signatures, patient data, dates, and other required details.
• Cross-check case details and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare documents by transferring information into templates using Adobe Acrobat.
• Perform quality checks for accuracy and formatting.
• Identify and resolve defects; place cases on hold if corrections are needed.
• Follow up and escalate with clear, specific information.
• Maintain accurate records of decisions and case status.
