Job summary

OpsArmy in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Documentation Triage Specialist to support a medical records workflow. You will review HIPAA authorizations for signatures and patient data, verify DOB and service dates, and ensure documentation is accurate before cases move forward.

The role requires high accuracy, comfort with legal/medical documents, and the ability to identify missing information. This is a remote position with EST overlap.

Qualifications

• Excellent written English with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand legal and medical documents.
• High level of accuracy when reviewing and comparing information.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and missing information.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Comfortable working with digital documents and editing tools.
• Availability to work a schedule that overlaps with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Review HIPAA authorizations: verify signatures, patient info, DOB, dates of service and other details.
• Cross-check case details against internal records and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare documents: transfer information into authorization templates using Adobe Acrobat or similar tools.
• Perform quality checks: ensure accuracy, completeness and formatting.
• Identify and resolve defects: flag missing/invalid info and place cases on hold.
• Follow up and escalate: monitor pending cases and expedite urgent items with clear info.
• Maintain accurate records of decisions, updates, and case status.
