Job summary

Outsource Teams offers remote, long-term full-time opportunities for skilled estimators who produce accurate takeoffs and bid packages for builders and contractors in Australia and the United States. You will work from home with Manila-based support, handling quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from drawings.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or equivalent, at least 2 years of estimating experience, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of estimating or quantity surveying experience, ideally on Australian or US projects.
• Hands-on experience with PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, STACK or Trimble. Cubit, CostX or Buildxact (Australia) and Xactimate (restoration) are a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good written English for quotes and client updates.
• Your own computer that can run the tools above, headset, and reliable internet of at least 25 Mbps with a backup connection.

Responsibilities

• Complete quantity takeoffs from architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Price materials and labour and build estimates and bills of quantities.
• Prepare bid packages and supplier or subcontractor quote comparisons.
• Keep estimate files, revisions and rates organised.
• Turn around estimates quickly so the client's team has them at the start of their day.
