Job summary
Offshore 24/7 in Manila is seeking an experienced residential estimator to own estimating from drawing review through tender and handover for Australian projects.
You will prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs and cost plans from architectural, structural and engineering drawings, identify missing scope and pricing risks, and negotiate with subcontractors to secure accurate quotes for compliant build outcomes.
Qualifications
- Around 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
- Experience with Australian residential construction.
- Independent estimating from architectural/structural drawings.
- Strong Excel and estimating software experience.
Responsibilities
- Own residential estimates from drawing review through to tender and handover.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs and cost plans from drawings.
- Identify missing scope, drawing discrepancies and cost risks; document assumptions.
- Prepare trade RFQs, obtain pricing, compare quotes and negotiate.
- Check pricing against quantities, historical rates and market pricing.
- Manage tender pricing, margins, contingencies and value-engineering.
- Convert approved estimates into purchase orders and support subcontract agreements.
- Maintain estimating records and drawing revisions with clear traceability.
