Southern Arms Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Recruitment Officer to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This is a full-time position based in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. As a Recruitment Officer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and recruiting top-tier talent to support our organisational growth and success. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, working collaboratively with hiring managers and other stakeholders to build a high-performing workforce that aligns with our company values and strategic objectives.
Source and attract qualified candidates through various recruitment channels, including online job boards, social media, networking events and employee referrals
Screen resumes and conduct initial telephone or video interviews to assess candidate suitability and experience
Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers
Manage candidate databases and maintain accurate records of all applicants and recruitment activities
Prepare job descriptions and recruitment briefs in collaboration with department heads and hiring managers
Conduct background checks and verify candidate qualifications and references
Provide recruitment support throughout the onboarding process for newly hired employees
Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reporting on recruitment activity and outcomes
Maintain knowledge of employment laws, regulations and best practices in recruitment
Support the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to improve hiring efficiency and candidate quality
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in recruitment, ideally within a recruitment agency or corporate human resources environment
Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, talent acquisition strategies and employment law
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment technology platforms
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Strong organisational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to identify talent potential and assess cultural fit with organisational values
Proactive approach to problem-solving with a results-driven mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with social media platforms
