Job summary

Southern Arms Corporation is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. The role covers recruiting, payroll coordination, benefits administration, policy development, employee relations, and training to strengthen organisational development.

You will partner with management to ensure legal compliance, data protection, and best HR practices while supporting workforce planning and employee wellbeing initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Officer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine employment laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in HR management systems and MS Office applications (Excel/Word).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees across departments.
• Administering and managing benefits programmes, payroll coordination, and compensation planning.
• Developing and implementing HR policies, handbooks, and procedures aligned with legal requirements.
• Managing employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Providing guidance to managers on staffing decisions and workplace conduct.
• Delivering training and development programmes to support growth and succession planning.
• Maintaining HR records and ensuring data confidentiality and compliance.
• Supporting organisational development initiatives including culture, team-building, and wellbeing.
• Ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies across HR functions.
• Assisting with workforce planning and staffing requirements.
