BITE ME UP CDO FOOD CORP. is seeking a Purchasing Officer to source materials, manage supplier relationships, and control inventory for our food production and logistics operations.

With 3–5 years in procurement or related roles, you will negotiate contracts, process orders, track deliveries, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Purchasing, Procurement or related role.
• Deep knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Experience with inventory control and cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement and inventory software; MS Office.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, certification in Procurement or SCM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and identify suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and materials for food manufacturing.

About the role

As Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing inventory to ensure the smooth operation of our food manufacturing and logistics activities. This role is strategically important to our organisation, directly impacting our production efficiency, cost management, and overall business profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Source and identify suitable suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other materials required for food manufacturing operations
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness whilst maintaining quality standards
• Process purchase orders, manage delivery schedules, and track shipments to ensure timely receipt of goods
• Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimise waste and optimise stock availability
• Conduct quality inspections of received goods and address any discrepancies or defects with suppliers
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and supplier information using procurement systems
• Liaise with finance, operations, and production teams to ensure purchasing aligns with budget and operational requirements
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery timeliness, and cost effectiveness
• Stay informed about market trends and commodity prices to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all procurement activities

About you

• Proven experience of at least 3-5 years working as a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Specialist, or in a related role within manufacturing or logistics environments
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control practices
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to analyse costs, identify savings opportunities, and manage budgets effectively
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of food industry standards, quality assurance, and food safety regulations is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
• Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a valuable addition
