We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Purchasing Head/Senior Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations across manufacturing for the food service division. This role is critical in ensuring timely sourcing of raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services—both domestically and globally—while maximizing value, managing supplier performance, and ensuring uninterrupted supply chain operations.
Strategic Procurement & Global Sourcing
Develop and execute procurement strategies to support production, restaurant expansion, and operational efficiency.
Lead import and export sourcing negotiations for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, kitchen equipment, and machinery.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export documentation, tariffs, and customs requirements.
Contract & Cost Management
Negotiate supplier contracts—both local and international—to achieve cost savings, quality assurance, and supply stability.
Manage long-term agreements, volume discounts, and risk-sharing arrangements with vendors.
Operations & Inventory
Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process and ensure accurate forecasting and planning in collaboration with manufacturing, logistics, and restaurant operations teams.
Monitor commodity trends, pricing volatility, and global supply chain risks that may impact procurement.
Supplier & Vendor Relations
Build strong, strategic partnerships with local and global suppliers.
Conduct regular supplier evaluations focusing on delivery, quality, cost competitiveness, and responsiveness.
Resolve supply issues quickly, and work with vendors on continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Finance, R&D, QA, and Logistics to align procurement with product development, financial controls, and quality standards.
Support innovation and new product launches by ensuring availability of new ingredients and materials from global sources.
Leadership & Compliance
Lead a team of procurement professionals with an emphasis on performance management, mentorship, and professional development.
Ensure procurement activities align with corporate governance, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory compliance.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Technology, or related field. MBA or supply chain certifications (e.g., CPSM, C.P.M.) is an advantage.
At least 10-15 years of progressive procurement experience, with a strong background in food manufacturing or QSR industries.
Proven expertise in import/export negotiations, international supplier management, and global sourcing strategies.
Skills & Competencies
In-depth understanding of customs regulations, trade agreements, logistics, and import/export documentation in the Philippines and abroad.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills with experience in high-volume purchasing.
Familiarity with ERP and similar systems and strong analytical and financial acumen.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
