VTSA International Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer - Mechanical in Metro Manila. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical projects, focusing on elevator and escalator systems, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.
You will liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, review drawings, and monitor progress to resolve technical and schedule issues. Travel to project sites within NCR and nearby provinces is required.
The Project Engineer - Mechanical is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the installation, testing, and completion of mechanical projects, particularly elevator and escalator systems. The role ensures that all project activities are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, engineering standards, quality requirements, and client specifications. The Project Engineer serves as the primary coordinator between clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee assigned mechanical projects from mobilization to project completion.
Review project drawings, technical specifications, contracts, and scope of work prior to implementation.
Supervise and monitor the installation of mechanical equipment and systems to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding project schedules, progress, and technical concerns.
Monitor project timelines, manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
Identify technical issues, project risks, and construction delays, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, accomplishment reports, and project documentation.
Coordinate with the Testing and Commissioning Team to facilitate inspection, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, company policies, and client requirements.
Participate in project coordination meetings, site inspections, and client presentations as required.
Assist in project billing, variation orders, punch listing, project close-out, and final turnover documentation.
Ensure proper documentation of as-built drawings, inspection records, and turnover documents.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferably a Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
At least 2-3 years of experience in mechanical project engineering, construction, MEP, or elevator and escalator installation projects.
Experience in the elevator or vertical transportation industry is an advantage.
Knowledgeable in mechanical systems, engineering standards, and construction practices.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contracts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is an advantage.
Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willing to travel and be assigned to project sites within NCR and provincial areas.
