Job summary

You will collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and site supervisors, prepare CAD drawings and documentation, perform feasibility studies, and oversee procurement to deliver safe, reliable elevator systems on schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for elevator installations, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new elevator projects and modifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee the procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor project progress, track timelines, and manage budgets to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Perform site inspections and quality assurance checks during installation and commissioning phases.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical support to resolve problems during construction and operation.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates on project status.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for translating project requirements into practical engineering solutions, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring all deliverables meet the highest quality standards. What we\'re looking for

1. Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution

2. 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, with preference given to candidates with elevator industry experience

3. Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) and other engineering design tools

4. Solid understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and structural mechanics relevant to elevator design

5. Knowledge of elevator industry standards, codes, and regulations (ISO, ASME, or local building codes)

6. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients

8. Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards

9. Problem-solving ability and technical acumen in addressing engineering challenges

10. Professional engineering certification or license is preferred but not required

11. Experience with project management software and tools is advantageous

12. Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
