VTSA INTERNATIONAL INC. is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to lead planning, coordination, and supervision of on-site construction activities from mobilization to turnover.
The role ensures safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with plans, specs, and client requirements. The candidate will coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers, review technical drawings, monitor costs and progress, and prepare regular project documentation.
The Construction Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities from project mobilization through completion. The role ensures that projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, technical specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The Construction Project Engineer serves as the primary point of coordination among clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to achieve the successful completion and turnover of construction projects.
Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day construction activities at assigned project sites.
Review project plans, technical drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope of work prior to implementation.
Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of construction milestones.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies regarding project requirements and progress.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Supervise site personnel and subcontractors to ensure efficient and productive work execution.
Monitor project costs, material usage, manpower, and equipment utilization.
Identify technical issues, project risks, and delays, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accomplishment reports, project updates, and engineering documentation.
Review and verify work accomplishments for billing and project progress claims.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, company policies, and government regulations.
Coordinate inspections, punch listing, testing, commissioning (if applicable), and project turnover activities.
Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation of project records, as-built drawings, and turnover documents.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Preferably a Licensed Engineer.
At least 2-3 years of experience in construction project management, site engineering, or project supervision.
Experience in commercial, industrial, high-rise building, or MEP projects is an advantage.
Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD; knowledge of project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera) is an advantage.
Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willing to work on-site and travel to various project locations as required.
