Job summary

Datashield OEM Solutions Inc in Pasig, Philippines, seeks a Junior Pre-Sales Engineer to support the Sales Team by developing technically sound, commercially competitive data center infrastructure proposals.

You will be involved in engineering design, costing, proposal preparation, technical consultations, and coordination with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are addressed and proposed solutions are feasible, commercially viable, and aligned with project needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) license.
• Experience in data center infrastructure is a plus.
• Strong communication and proposal development skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing end-to-end data center infrastructure solutions based on customer technical and commercial requirements.
• Prepare quotations, solution proposals, BOQs, costing, technical submittals, compliance matrices, and comparative analyses.
• Evaluate technical performance, project feasibility, and commercial competitiveness in developing proposed solutions.
• Ensure proposals comply with company standards, customer specifications, and applicable engineering practices.
• Provide technical assistance to the Sales Team throughout the sales cycle, including customer meetings and bid clarifications.
• Develop and maintain a strong technical knowledge of the company’s products and data center portfolio.

Job Summary

The Junior Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical and commercial support to the Sales Team by developing technically sound, commercially competitive, and customer-focused data center infrastructure solutions.

The role involves engineering design, solution development, costing, proposal preparation, technical consultation, and coordination with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately addressed and proposed solutions are technically feasible, commercially viable, and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Engineering

• Assist in designing and developing end-to-end data center infrastructure solutions based on customer technical and commercial requirements.

• Prepare quotations, solution proposals, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), costing, technical submittals, compliance matrices, comparative analyses, and other required solution documents.

• Evaluate technical performance, project feasibility, and commercial competitiveness in developing proposed solutions.

• Ensure proposals comply with company standards, customer specifications, and applicable engineering practices.

2. Technical Sales Support

• Provide technical assistance to the Sales Team throughout the sales cycle, including customer meetings, solution discussions, product selection, and bid clarifications.

• Respond to customer and internal technical inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of the company's products, technologies, and data center infrastructure portfolio.

• Monitor competitor products and solutions to effectively communicate the company's competitive advantages.

3. Technical Presentations

• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution briefings for internal teams, business partners, consultants, and customers.

• Assist in technical workshops, seminars, proof-of-concept activities, and customer solution discussions.

4. Project Coordination & Value Engineering

• Work closely with the Project Implementation Team to ensure proposed solutions are practical, buildable, and aligned with project execution requirements.

• Participate in value engineering initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize designs, reduce project costs, improve constructability, and enhance overall project profitability without compromising quality or performance.

• Support technical handover activities from the Sales Team to the Project Implementation Team.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Maintain organized records of quotations, technical proposals, drawings, costing templates, technical references, product documentation, and engineering calculations.

• Develop and maintain a structured knowledge base to support future proposals, forecasting, benchmarking, trend analysis, and engineering best practices.

• Ensure proper version control and continuous improvement of engineering templates and technical documentation.

6. Continuous Learning & Process Improvement

• Continuously develop technical knowledge in data center infrastructure, industry standards, emerging technologies, and competitor solutions.

• Develop and utilize AI tools, automation, engineering templates, and digital workflows to improve productivity, proposal turnaround time, consistency, and solution quality.

• Identify opportunities to streamline engineering processes and improve operational efficiency.

7. Professionalism & Compliance

• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset in all interactions.

• Comply with company policies, engineering procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and ethical business practices.
