Job summary

Princess Cruises is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie Pizza to join our Galley team on a fixed-term contract in Magsaysay, Philippines. You will lead pizza production, manage mise en place, and ensure recipes are followed with top-quality results.

Reporting to the Chef De Partie Pizza, you will supervise the 2nd Commis-Pizzeria, train staff, and help control costs while maintaining rigorous safety standards and guest satisfaction aboard our ships.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Pizza Maker with at least 2 years as 2nd Commis Pizza
• Recent experience in high-volume handmade pizza production
• Well versed in USPHS regulations and able to explain concepts
• Strong knowledge of pizza making bakery procedures and styles
• Effective communicator with an outgoing personality to engage passengers
• Ability to supervise multicultural staff and train subordinates
• Proficient in English language

Responsibilities

• Controls production pace and ensures quality and consistency
• Supervises the 2nd Commis-Pizzeria during mise en place, pizza production and baking
• Ensures production follows company recipes
• Taste-tests products and monitors mise en place
• Maintains section recipe files for staff
• Adheres to daily production schedule and informs Chief Baker of fluctuations
• Monitors ingredient usage and plans orders accordingly to control costs
• Trains staff and ensures compliance with safety and regulations
