Job summary

MatchaTalent seeks a General Manager – Philippines to lead the company’s business development and operations in the Philippines. This role entails serving as the local representative to the Board and regional leadership, driving growth, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic fintech landscape.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in fintech or financial services, strong commercial leadership, and a robust regulatory network across PH agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or related field required; Master's preferred.
• 8–15 years in fintech/financial services, banking, or digital payments.
• Verifiable regulatory network across SEC, BSP, CIC and regulatory/enforcement bodies.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English; Mandarin preferred for regional/global communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth in the Philippines.
• Lead overall business development, market expansion, and commercial initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, regulators, financial institutions, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent the company at industry events, meetings with government, and with strategic partners.
• Monitor developments in Philippine fintech and digital financial services.
• Identify new business opportunities and market expansion initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional and global management to achieve strategic objectives.
• Oversee local operations and ensure effective organizational performance.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance activities with internal teams.
• Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to the Board and leadership.
• Build and develop a strong local team as the business grows.
