Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a General Manager – Philippines to steer business development and operations in the local market. You will work with the Board and regional leaders to drive growth, partnerships, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 8–15 years in fintech or financial services, strong leadership, and deep regulatory networks with Philippine bodies. English fluency required; Mandarin is a plus for regional alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred for leadership roles.
• Strong regulatory awareness across the Philippine landscape.
• 8–15 years in fintech, financial services, or related industries.
• Proven leadership in business development, partnerships, or corporate affairs.
• Excellent English communication; Mandarin is a plus for regional alignment.
• Deep network with SEC, BSP, CIC, and enforcement bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall business development and operations in the Philippines.
• Develop growth strategies and drive market expansion.
• Build relationships with government authorities, regulators, and banks.
• Represent the company in industry events and key meetings.
• Monitor fintech and digital financial services developments locally.
• Identify opportunities, partnerships, and new market initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional/global leadership on strategy.
• Oversee local operations and organizational performance.
• Support regulatory compliance and governance activities.
• Provide market insights to the Board and leadership.
• Build and develop a strong local team as the business grows.
