Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a General Manager for the Philippines to lead overall business development and operations in the country. You will work with the Board and regional leadership as the primary local representative, driving growth, partnerships, and market expansion.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial leadership with deep knowledge of the Philippine fintech and financial services landscape, engaging with regulators and key partners to advance strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, law or related field.
8–15 years of progressive experience in fintech/financial services or related industries.
Verifiable regulatory network across Philippine authorities (SEC, BSP, CIC, NBI/Anti-Cybercrime/PNP).

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to drive growth in the Philippines.
Lead business development, market expansion and commercial initiatives.
Build relationships with government authorities, regulators and industry stakeholders.
Represent the company in industry events, meetings, and partnerships.
Monitor developments in Philippine fintech and financial services.
Identify new business opportunities and market expansion initiatives.
Collaborate with regional/global teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Oversee local operations and ensure organizational performance.
Support regulatory, compliance and governance activities with internal teams.
Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to the Board.
Build and nurture a strong local team as the business grows.
