Job summary

MatchaTalent is partnering with a rapidly growing fintech client to recruit a General Manager for the Philippines, based in Taguig. You will lead overall business development and operations, acting as the local representative to drive growth, partnerships, and market expansion.

The candidate should bring 8–15 years in fintech/financial services, leadership experience, and a solid grasp of the Philippine market, with strong English communication; Mandarin is a plus for regional coordination.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and senior stakeholder management experience in fintech or financial services.
• Strong business development and partnerships track record with regulators and financial institutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies to expand the Philippines business.
• Lead overall business development, market expansion, and commercial initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, regulators, institutions, and partners.
• Represent the company in industry events, meetings, and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor developments in fintech, digital finance, and financial services.
• Identify new business opportunities and potential market expansion initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to execute strategic objectives.
• Oversee local business operations and organizational performance.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance activities.
• Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to the Board and leadership.
