Job summary

J&T Cargo is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist in the Philippines to ensure precise processing of all payroll transactions within scheduled timelines. You will input, validate, and maintain payroll data, monitor timekeeping, and manage government remittances and payslips with strict confidentiality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR/Business/Accounting, 1–2 years in Payroll/Benefits, and strong Excel/HRIS skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in Payroll and/or Compensation & Benefits
• High attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll and employee records
• Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with HRIS/payroll systems
• Knowledge of payroll processing and timekeeping procedures
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and data management skills
• Able to maintain the confidentiality and security of employee information

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all payroll transactions are accurately processed and completed within the scheduled payroll timeline
• Generate, input, and validate payroll data in the system to maintain accurate and updated employee payroll information
• Update and monitor payroll master lists and ensure the confidentiality and security of employee data
• Prepare and process monthly government remittances, including BIR, SSS, HDMF/Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth
• Prepare and distribute employee payslips accurately and on time
• Monitor and validate timekeeping records, attendance, leaves, undertime, overtime, and other payroll-related adjustments
• Prepare and compute SIL remuneration and 13th Month Pay and ensure timely release according to the scheduled payroll calendar
• Prepare ITW reports and BIR requirements, including the Annual Information Return/Alphalist, for finalization and submission within the required deadlines
• Process last pay and separation pay and ensure that employees have completed the required clearance and turnover procedures prior to release of their final pay
• Maintain accurate and organized payroll records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
