Job summary

Ubiquity is looking for a Payroll Associate to manage end-to-end payroll operations in the Philippines. You will consolidate timekeeping, track leaves, and ensure accurate 2316 and final-pay computations for resignations, while preparing payroll reports and journal entries for the Finance team.

You’ll resolve payroll queries, prepare statutory remittances, and liaise with the BIR. A strong knowledge of tax calculations and year-to-date reconciliation is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll for a BPO or Shared Services setup (1–2 years).
• In-depth knowledge of manual tax computations, overtime, and deductions.
• Familiarity with BIR annualization processes and regulatory updates.
• Understanding HR-Finance dependencies within the organization.

Responsibilities

• In-charge of end-to-end payroll processing for employees.
• Consolidate Timekeeping Reports from different departments.
• In-charge of tracking leaves and absences of employees.
• Prepare 2316 and final pay computation for resigned employees.
• Prepare payroll reports, journal entries, funding requirements and other requested reports.
• Investigate and resolve payroll queries and disputes promptly.
• Prepare user manuals for employee use.
• In-charge of processing government statutor y remittances (HDMF/PhilHealth/SSS) and loans monthly.
• Reconcile year-to-date income and prepare Alpha listing for BIR submission.
• Prepare Alphalist and liaise with BIR for related submissions.
• Attend inquiries regarding payroll and benefits and conduct payroll orientation for new hires.
• Identify process improvements and assist with ad-hoc projects.

What You’ll Do:

• In-charge of end-to-end payroll processing.

• In - charge in processing of Government statutory such as HDMF, Philhealth and SSS Remittances and Loans every month.
• Reconciliate year to date income and prepare the Alpha listing report to be submitted to BIR.
• With in depth knowledge in manual computation of tax, overtime, night differential etc.
• Intensive experience in processing of BIR annualization.
• Prepared Alphalist and liaised to the BIR for submission of Year Tax annualization related documents.
• Attend inquiries of the employees regarding Payroll and benefits.
• Conduct payroll orientation for new hires.
• Understand the dependencies that exist within the HR and Finance department.
• Identify and propose solutions for process improvements.
• Assist with special projects, as requested.

What We’re Looking For:

• Has an experience processing payroll for a BPO or Shared Services Company for 1-2 years.
• With in-depth knowledge in manual computation of tax, overtime, night differential, holiday premiums, and/ or time-based deductions etc.
• Intensive experience in processing of BIR annualization.
• Understand the dependencies that exist within the HR and Finance department.
• Must be updated with Payroll Regulations and Information of the country
