Job summary

Ubiquity is seeking a Payroll Master to ensure precise payroll processing and strict compliance. You will audit data, drive process improvements, and manage payroll systems to produce accurate reports.

The role requires 3–5 years payroll experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel/payroll software skills, with CPP preferred. You’ll work onsite on a graveyard shift in Bacolod to align with stakeholder needs.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and payroll software
• Strong understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll principles
• High level of confidentiality, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills
• CPP designation is preferred

Responsibilities

• Data Accuracy & Auditing: Conducting reconciliations and performing payroll audits to confirm compliance with internal controls and legal regulations.
• Process, tools and system Improvement: Identifying operational gaps, implementing new procedures, and enhancing overall efficiency.
• System Management: Utilizing both manual and advanced payroll systems to manage payroll data and generate reports.
• Escalation Support: Addressing complex payroll discrepancies and responding to high-level employee inquiries.
• Compliance & Reporting: Overseeing tax payments, year‑end accountabilities, and payroll tax filings.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of payroll experience, often including multi‑state or international payroll.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) and payroll software.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll principles.
• Soft Skills: High level of confidentiality, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills.
• Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.

Additional Requirement

• Will be working on a graveyard shift (e.g., 8 pm or 9 pm onwards), physically present onsite (site (Bacolod)) to ensure stakeholders’ needs, meetings, and payroll initiatives are attended.
