Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior payments leader to manage a team focused on expanding card acceptance in Mexico through third-party partners. You will drive strategies with AmEx and partners, expanding payment methods across POS, contactless, and e-commerce to boost merchant engagement and volume.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in payments industry with team leadership.
• Strong strategic thinking and financial/analytical skills.
• Proven commercial experience and leadership in designing and executing winning strategies.
• Extensive negotiation and external partnership relationship management.
• Ability to build cross-functional Blue Box linkages at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deepen card acceptance in Mexico through third-party partnerships (OptBlue and Aggregator models).
• Engage obtaining partners to strengthen relationships and deliver value for AmEx and partners.
• Drive payment method expansion across POS, contactless and e-commerce.
• Analyze and manage sponsored merchant engagement funnel to maximize Cardmember POC and business volume.
• Build executive-level relationships with internal and external partners and drive growth initiatives.
• Foster innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
