Smart Apartment Data is seeking a Payment Resolution Specialist for a fully remote role in the Philippines. You will contact customers with overdue balances, drive payments, and push for clear commitments while maintaining professional conversations.

Qualifications

About the Role

We’re looking for a confident and persistent Payment Resolution Specialist to follow up with customers on overdue balances and help bring accounts to resolution.

This is a phone-focused role for someone who is comfortable having direct conversations about payment. You should be professional and respectful while still being able to ask the right questions, handle objections, and push for clear payment commitments.

What You'll Do

• Make outbound calls to customers regarding overdue balances.
• Follow up by email when needed and maintain consistent contact until accounts are resolved.
• Ask direct questions to understand payment delays and objections.
• Work with customers to secure payment commitments or appropriate payment arrangements.
• Follow up on missed or delayed payment commitments.
• Maintain accurate notes, account updates, and next steps.
• Work toward daily and weekly collections targets and KPIs.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a dedicated collections role, including experience handling U.S./international customer accounts.
• Experience actively handling overdue or delinquent accounts and making outbound collections calls.
• Experience securing payment commitments and following up until resolution.
• Comfortable handling objections and having firm conversations about payment.
• Strong verbal communication skills with clear, understandable spoken English.
• Persistent and confident without being rude or aggressive.
• Able to communicate directly and professionally.
• Strong follow-through and accountability.
• Comfortable working with collections targets and performance metrics.

This Role Is Not a Fit If:

• Your experience is primarily in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit Analysis, or Credit Control, with collections only as a secondary responsibility.
• Your collections experience has primarily involved clerical, reconciliation, or data-entry work rather than actively managing overdue accounts, making collections calls, and securing payment commitments.
