Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in fleet operations.

• Ability to analyze operating costs and improve efficiency.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily management of company drivers, towing trucks, and garage operations. This role ensures that all vehicles are roadworthy, drivers perform efficiently, and operational costs are controlled through proper maintenance, scheduling, and supervision. The primary objective is to maximize fleet efficiency while minimizing operating expenses and downtime.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and manage all drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.

• Oversee the daily condition, utilization, and availability of towing trucks to ensure maximum operational readiness.

• Manage garage operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and coordination with mechanics and suppliers.

• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, tire usage, and repair costs, identifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary spending.

• Ensure vehicle documents, registrations, insurance, and maintenance records are complete and updated.

• Investigate vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and operational issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Prepare operational reports on fleet utilization, maintenance costs, truck downtime, and driver performance.

• Recommend process improvements that increase truck availability, extend vehicle lifespan, and improve overall operational efficiency.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.

• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in fleet operations, transportation, logistics, trucking, or a related industry.

• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance, and basic truck troubleshooting.

• Experience in managing drivers, mechanics, and day-to-day fleet operations.

• Ability to analyze operating costs and identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce expenses.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and preparing operational reports.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work under pressure and respond effectively to operational emergencies.

• Honest, disciplined, and results-oriented with strong attention to detail.

• Familiarity with LTO regulations, vehicle documentation, and road safety standards is an advantage.
