Key Responsibilities
Front Office & Night Operations
- Supervise Front Office operations during the night shift and ensure smooth check-in and check-out procedures.
- Monitor room availability, occupancy, room assignments, VIP arrivals, upgrades, and overbooking situations.
- Ensure compliance with hotel service standards and proper shift handover to the morning team.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Security, Engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth overnight operations.
Night Audit & Financial Control
- Oversee Night Audit and end-of-day closing procedures.
- Review and reconcile Front Office transactions, cash, credit cards, guest and city ledgers, and other hotel revenues.
- Verify room rates, discounts, complimentary/house-use rooms, upgrades, and other revenue-related transactions.
- Investigate and report financial discrepancies and ensure accurate completion of required reports.
Guest Service
- Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Provide appropriate service recovery within authorized limits.
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and service throughout the night shift.
Leadership & Safety
- Supervise, coach, and support Front Office associates during the night shift.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, productivity, and compliance with hotel policies and SOPs.
- Act as the senior hotel representative during overnight operations.
- Respond to and coordinate emergencies, security incidents, and other critical situations.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review Night Audit, Daily Revenue, Occupancy, House Count, and other required reports.
- Maintain accurate shift logs and ensure proper communication of pending concerns to the morning team.
- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, brand standards, safety procedures, cash-handling policies, and data privacy requirements.
Required Competencies
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Strong attention to detail and financial reconciliation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in hotel PMS such as Opera, Oracle Opera Cloud, Protel, Fidelio, or similar systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of Front Office experience in a hotel environment.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or Night Audit experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel accounting and financial control principles.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Willing to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

- Accurate and timely completion of Night Audit and financial reconciliation
- Minimal or no unresolved financial discrepancies
- Positive guest satisfaction and effective complaint resolutionComplete and accurate shift handover and reports
- Compliance with hotel, safety, and brand standards
- Effective supervision and performance of the night shift team
Authority
The Night Supervisor is authorized to:
- Make operational decisions during the overnight shift.
- Handle guest concerns and service recovery within approved limits.
- Coordinate emergency and security responses.
- Authorize room moves and upgrades in accordance with hotel policies.
- Escalate critical operational, financial, guest, or security concerns to the Manager on Duty or senior management.
