Managing and Growing Accounts: Managing and growing national key accounts such as supermarkets, institutions, and modern trade accounts.
Strategy and Planning: Developing account plans that include specific sales, volume, margin, and growth targets.
Business Development: Identifying new growth opportunities, including new listings, categories, and upselling, often using data insights.
Negotiation and Pricing: Leading negotiations for pricing, promotions, and contracts with key clients.
Performance Monitoring: Tracking and improving account performance in terms of sales, profitability, and execution.
Execution and Coordination: Ensuring in-store execution, including product visibility, displays, and planogram compliance. The role serves as the primary point of contact between key customers and internal cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth product delivery and post‑sales support.
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key account stakeholders.
Reporting: Preparing and presenting regular performance reports and business reviews.
Qualifications
Education: At least an undergraduate degree (a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is often preferred).
Experience: Typically requires 2–4 years of experience in sales and fieldwork, specifically within a Key Account Specialist, Distribution, or a similar role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Experience exposed to National Key Accounts (NKAs) and Modern Trade (MT) is a plus.
